# 2026 Updates

# September 2026

v26.9.1 - To view a more readable blog post about the September 2026 release, click [here](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-september-notes).

- Customer emails and texts are managed in one **[Communications](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/emails)** workspace: your own templates and every built-in message your store sends sit in one searchable list, each showing whether it sends automatically.
- A **Template library** in Communications offers 26 ready-to-use starters, 17 emails and 9 texts, grouped by situation: visiting the store, orders and fittings, pickup and care, and after the celebration. Choosing one opens a draft with the wording filled in; where a starter includes a suggested sending rule, it starts switched off. Nothing is saved until you save it.
- **Appointment message wording** is edited in Communications for your whole store or per appointment type, with a picker that shows which types have custom wording. **Rescheduled**, **waitlist confirmation** and **waitlist removal** are now their own messages. Delivery settings (reminder timing, which types email or text) sit beneath the wording.
- Choose an **email design** for every message your store sends to customers: Minimal, Banner, Card, Editorial, Boutique or Modern, under **Email design** in Communications. Designs use the logo, colors and heading font from your [branding settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/branding), and a **Customize design** panel sets logo size, header alignment, logo background and header spacing. Existing stores keep the plain Minimal layout until they choose another.
- Every customer email, including receipts, payment links, quotes, signature requests and portal messages, now shares the same frame and reads properly on a phone.
- Automatic sending rules can target by **referral source**, flip any condition to **"Is not"**, and add up to three **custom-field conditions** on customer, order or appointment custom fields. The same conditions work for automated tasks.
- **Upcoming recipients** shows, for any message with a scheduled sending rule, who is expected to receive it over the next 30 days and who is not receiving it and why (opted out, no email address, already sent, purchases cancelled and so on). Nothing is sent from the preview.
- Messages can use **appointment smart fields** for the matched appointment's date, start and end times, staff member and status, and when sending a message by hand you choose which appointment it refers to.
- A follow-up scheduled for **the day of the appointment** now always sends one hour after the appointment ends. The separate "minutes after the appointment" setting is gone.
- **Recurring tasks:** a task template can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly from a start date, using chosen weekdays for weekly rules or one day of the month for monthly rules. CloudBridal keeps one open task from each routine at a time; completing it immediately creates the next task, due on its scheduled date, and missed dates are skipped rather than piling up. Requires Ultimate.
- Tasks and task templates can carry **subtasks**, a checklist staff tick off one at a time, with "2 of 5 complete" shown in the task list.
- [Task Management](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/tasks) is a new workspace with your templates in a sidebar and a **template library** of 17 ready-made templates for appointments, orders, team operations and recurring routines. A chosen template opens in the editor with automatic creation switched off.
- **Upcoming tasks** previews what a template would create over a window of up to 90 days, with the customer, assignee and dates, plus the records it is skipping and why. Nothing is created from the preview.
- Opening a task now slides a **panel in beside the list**, edits save as you make them, and the arrow keys move between tasks. A **Due date** view splits tasks into overdue and the next 30 days, later, and no due date, and due-date rules can be set to **on** a date as well as before or after it.
- Each staff member can choose in their **Profile → Notification Preferences** to be **emailed** as well as notified in the app when a task is assigned to them, commented on, or due soon. Email is off until they turn it on.
- A new **Your appointments** notification tells a staff member when an appointment is assigned to them, or when one of theirs is rescheduled, confirmed or cancelled, whoever made the change: a colleague, the customer online, or automatic staff assignment. In app by default, by email if they turn it on. The staff member who made the change is never told about their own edit, and nobody hears about the same change twice. Notification Preferences is now one grid, Appointments, Tasks and Customers, with **In app** and **Email** columns; rows the shop inbox already receives say so.
- Emails CloudBridal sends to the shop, appointment updates, payments received, documents signed, quotes accepted, auto-charge results, refund failures and staff notifications, now share one layout: a details card, a status badge and a button that opens the record. A rescheduled appointment shows the previous time struck through.
- Online bookings can be limited to an **event-date window** on the **Event Date** question in your [appointment settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments): no sooner than, and no later than, a number of days from the appointment. Either limit can be blank. Staff see a warning but can still book outside it.
- Online bookings can **require a first and last name**: turn it on for the **Name** question in your [appointment settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments). Off by default; staff-created appointments are unaffected.
- Paid appointment types can **refund the fee automatically** when a customer cancels online within your cancellation notice period: tick **Refund automatically when the customer cancels online** on the type's **Payments** tab in your [appointment settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments). The full fee goes back to the card, and a fee recorded as a sale is cancelled with it. Off by default.
- When staff cancel a paid appointment, the confirmation offers **Refund the appointment fee**, defaulting to that setting. Refunded appointments show **Refunded** on the appointment and in the appointments list.
- A new **Payment refunded** email under **Payments** in [Communications](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/emails) tells customers when money has gone back to them, for card, cash and check refunds on order payments and appointment fees. Off until you switch it on.
- The **Order Margins** and **Order Financials** reports gain a **Wholesale Cost** column (catalog wholesale price × quantity) with a footer total, so monthly wholesale cost of goods sold reads straight off the report.
- Accepting an online **appointment request** now shows the matched customer profile and event and asks you to choose when the match is ambiguous.
- Every SMS editor shows **Sends as ~N text messages** as you type, and characters pasted from elsewhere (curly quotes, long dashes) are normalised at send time so they no longer halve a message's capacity.
- Date smart fields gain a **Format** selector that can render a month instead of an exact day, stackable with day buffers.
- **Manage Day** now lists one-off room hours that sit on top of a schedule under **Extra Hours**, with a Remove action.
- Purchase order headers and customer rows link straight to the **customer profile**.
- The **Inventory On Hand** report gains a **Stock** filter for In Stock and Out of Stock items, so you can list what has sold through. It defaults to In Stock.
- Searching [purchase orders](https://go.cloudbridal.com/purchaseorders) now matches the **names of the items** on them, and the status counts reflect what you searched for.
- The Dashboard's **Financial Insights** and **Outstanding Balances** tabs are gone, as announced in August; both reports live in [Reports & Tools](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports). The QuickBooks integration and card surcharging no longer carry an experimental badge, and the five reports added in August have lost their **New** badge.
- For shops with a developer: **API Access** lets your own website, chatbot, booking widget or CRM work with your store's data directly, from booking appointments to reading inventory, orders and payments, with **webhooks** when things change. Switch it on under [Integrations](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/integrations) for a free **sandbox**, a practice copy of your store that never expires; keys against your real store are an add-on billed on your existing subscription ($50 a month in the US, £38 in the UK plus VAT, CA$70, AU$75), available on every paid plan. Keys carry only the permissions you tick, and an **Activity** log shows every call made.

# August 2026

v26.8.1 - To view a more readable blog post about the August 2026 release, click [here](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-august-notes).

* **Every plan can now run reports.** Payments, Refunds, Sales Tax Summary, Financial Summary and Outstanding Balances are available on Basic, with the rest unlocking as you move up.
* Added five new reports: **Stock Aging & Markdown**, **Buying Budget**, **Capacity & Utilization**, **No-Show & Deposit Economics** and **Activity Log** — see [Reports & Tools](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/reports-tool-b4mb2m/) for what each one covers.
* The reports catalog is now organised into **Money**, **Merchandise** and **People**, with a **"What are you here to do?"** filter. Your inventory tools (Slow Movers, Physical Count, and the rest) now sit alongside the reports.
* **Choosing columns, sorting and grouping now works on every plan** — saving that arrangement as a custom report still requires Ultimate.
* **Financial Summary** and **Outstanding Balances** are now reports in [Reports & Tools](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports), where they can be filtered and arranged like any other. Their Dashboard tabs stay in place for this release with a link across, then go away.
* Roles can now be **limited to specific reports** in your [role settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/roles).
* Eight reports were retired in favour of tools that do the job better — see the [August release notes](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-august-notes) for each one and what to use instead.
* **Appointment Conversion Tracking** now reports the share of *customers* who bought as its headline rate — a bride who visits three times before buying counts once — with the previous per-appointment figure kept alongside it as **close rate**. Added a breakdown and filter by customer type.
* Your [inventory showcase](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/inventoryShowcase) can now be **embedded directly on your own website**, so shoppers browse your gowns without leaving your page — see [Embedding CloudBridal on Your Website](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/embedding-on-your-website-16eggfi/). (The Inventory Showcase is an Ultimate-plan feature.)
* A single collection can be embedded on its own page, so a "Sample Sale" page shows only sample sale gowns, and each collection has a **direct link** for social bios and website buttons.
* Every inventory item now has a short **share link** you can text or email to a customer, with a warning when the item isn't currently visible in the showcase.
* Showcase item pages gained a **Book an Appointment** button, an optional **Email Us About This Item** button (off by default), a **thumbnail gallery**, and a full-screen **magnifying view**.
* Added **Fabric Type**, **Neckline** and **Embellishment** filters for showcase shoppers, and you can now **hide individual values** within any filter on the **Filters & Visibility** tab. Hiding a value also takes any item whose only value was that one out of the showcase — tags are the exception, and only leave the dropdown.
* Shoppers can now sort the showcase by **Price: Low to High** and **High to Low**, offered only on views where prices are actually displayed.
* The customer profile's Group tab is now an **Events** tab, and a customer can have **more than one event** — each with its own date, venue and members with their own roles. Orders link to the event automatically when there's only one, and ask which one they belong to when there's more than one. An event with more than one member also gets a name and an expected party size.
* **Two customers can share one event**, so a mother and daughter shopping for the same wedding sit on one event rather than two.
* Automated messages and tasks now follow the event rather than the customer: someone in two events gets one reminder per event, timed off that event's own date, and targeting matches the role they hold in that specific event.
* **Venue** is now captured on the event itself, and can be collected on your [booking form](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments) (optional, off by default), on prom registrations, and on your pre-registration questionnaire under [Customer Registration](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/customerregistration).
* A sale can now be **split between staff members** by percentage from the order's **Associated Staff** card, available once you have two or more active sales associates. Filtering a report by a staff member now returns sales where they were the primary consultant or on the split.
* Staff Member Sales, Appointment Conversion Tracking, Financial Summary, Tips and Cash Flow Summary credit both the money **and** the sale by percentage on shared sales — a 50/50 sale gives each consultant half the revenue and **0.5 sales**, under a **Credited Sales** column heading. The fractions are deliberate: counting a whole sale against half the money would halve a co-seller's average sale. Header totals stay whole numbers.
* You can now choose how CloudBridal itself looks: **seven themes** (Default, Blush, Sand, Mocha, Sage, Dusk and Plum) set shop-wide under **App Appearance** in your [branding settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/branding), and overridable per staff member in their **Profile**. A matching **font picker** applies to the screen only — printed documents and PDFs keep their own typography. Customer-facing pages keep your own branding untouched.
* **Cancelling an order is now a guided action** rather than a status you pick. Cancel the whole order or selected items, and record a reason. Cancelling a whole order also asks what should happen to money already collected and whether stock goes back to inventory, and removes any pending scheduled payments so reminders stop. When the order was already picked up and contains a physical item, the action becomes **Record Return** instead.
* Added **Return to Stock**, which puts inventory items back on the shelf as a recorded movement at the cost they left with — no more manual stock adjustments after a return.
* Added an editable list of **Cancellation Reasons** in your [order settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/orders).
* When refunding a payment, CloudBridal now asks **what the refund is for** — cancelling the order, reducing the sale, returning money, or swapping the payment — and on a multi-item order lets you split the credit across items. **Store credit is chosen here**, in the refund form, rather than earlier in the cancel flow.
* **Refunds now handle every payment on the order in one pass**, rather than one card at a time with no view of the total. If a card refund fails, it stops there and only retries what hasn't already succeeded.
* An order with a **successful card charge can no longer be deleted** — refund or cancel it instead.
* **A cancelled order's add-on amounts are now fixed**, so its total stops moving after the fact.
* Cancelling requires a new **Orders → Cancel** permission, granted automatically to every role that already had **Orders → Manage**. Staff signed in during the update need to sign in again to see it.
* On the Sales Tax report's order-based options, a cancelled sale now appears in the month it was originally made with an offsetting reversal in the month it was cancelled; all-time totals are unchanged. Staff sales, conversion and margin figures for past periods may shift for the same reason.
* Appointment types that charge a fee against a linked item can now **include sales tax in the fee** in your [appointment settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments). The customer is charged exactly the fee you configured, with the subtotal and tax recorded behind it.
* Online bookings whose card step was started but never finished now surface under **Abandoned Online Bookings** on your [appointments screen](https://go.cloudbridal.com/appointments), with the customer's contact details so you can follow up. The customer was never charged and no time slot is held; entries drop off after 14 days.
* Appointment types set to **Staff Only** can no longer be booked through a public booking link.
* Added a **Purchasing Email Address** in your [purchase order settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/purchaseOrders), used in the purchase order heading and as the reply-to on vendor emails. Leave it blank to keep using your business email.
* The purchase order print view gained a **Display Options** bar to switch **Include Customer Measurements** and **Include Cost Summary** on or off for one specific purchase order.
* A phone number is now required when adding or editing a customer unless you tick **No Phone**, mirroring the existing **No Email** option. The flag clears itself as soon as a real number arrives.
* **The tip field is back for cash and check payments** on shops that also take cards — it was hidden on every new payment, which made Tip Tracking look broken. Choosing a payment method now reveals it.
* **Date fields now accept typed dates** in your shop's format (`6/15/24`, `15.6.2024`, `2024-6-15`), with or without leading zeros, and the calendar opens when you press **↓** rather than the moment you click into the field.
* The **Prom Registry** screen now shows a sale total per entry, adds a venue filter, links to each customer, and exports to Excel.
* **Outstanding Balances** now shows an **Event Date** column alongside the order date, in the table and in the CSV export.
* **QuickBooks now leaves your bookkeeper's edits alone** — sync updates the money and how it's applied, while the date, payment method, memo and deposit account stay as set in QuickBooks. Sync errors now come with the step that fixes them in your [QuickBooks settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/integrations), synced orders and payments link straight to the matching QuickBooks record, and rejected records carry a badge in the list.
* Staff **appointment update emails now link to the customer's profile**, so you can open the record from the notification.
* Added an **inactivity lock** for shared devices, off until you enable it under **Inactivity Lock** in your [staff settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/roles). After the delay you set, the screen locks until the signed-in staff member re-enters their pin code — the same one used for the time tracker. It locks rather than signs out, so unsaved work survives.
* The lock screen can also **switch users**, signing the next person in under their own account. Individual staff can be **exempted**, and staff without a pin code are skipped.
* The lock is aimed at reducing work recorded under the wrong name by mistake. It won't stop someone deliberately using a colleague's screen inside the delay you set, and it isn't a substitute for signing out.
* **You can no longer lock yourself out of your own account.** On your own staff member record the access type, role and **Inactive and Login Suspended** checkbox are read-only, and the record can't be deleted — another administrator makes those changes. Assigning yourself a new role to test it was previously enough to lose admin access to your own shop.
* Creating a local account with a **username that's already taken** now says so, instead of failing with "Unknown error".

# July 2026

v26.7.1 - To view a more readable blog post about the July 2026 release, click [here](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-july-notes).

* The **appointment engine** has been rebuilt to be more flexible: existing fixed-hours schedules and slot availability work exactly as before, and each schedule in your [appointment settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments) can now alternatively follow **staff working hours** — a chosen group of staff members or **any capable staff member** — with one staff member auto-assigned per booking (**in listed order** or **balancing the daily load**).
* For staff-based scheduling, staff members can be limited to specific **appointment types** and given a **max appointments per day**, plus a **portrait photo** and **title** shown to customers.
* The customer-facing **online booking page has been completely redesigned** with a modern two-column layout: a live summary panel builds up beside the booking steps (duration, price, date, time, staff/room), with a refreshed appointment-type list, a new time picker, clearly distinguished waitlist times, and a polished confirmation screen.
* Each appointment type can now **show staff and rooms to customers** during online booking — hidden, shown after booking, or **customer chooses** (with photos, titles, and room descriptions).
* Added **exclusive appointment types** that reserve the whole store — while one is booked, nothing else can be booked at the same time.
* A new **Preview Availability** tool in appointment settings shows which times customers can book on any date — and why other times are unavailable.
* The **Appointment Schedules settings** now open with a **room-by-weekday grid**: each cell shows how that room is bookable that day (fixed hours or staff hours), with warning badges when a schedule needs attention (e.g. no staff rostered), hover shortcuts to add hours, and clickable day headers that jump into an availability preview. **Rooms are now created and edited right here too** — including an optional public description shown to customers during online booking.
* **Managing a specific day** is reworked: rooms are grouped by how they're staffed, staff-scheduled rooms can get a per-date **booking window** plus a live list of who's working that day, and a new **Allow bookings without staff coverage** option lets a day be booked with nobody scheduled (e.g. a trunk show) — with clear warnings whenever a window reaches beyond staff hours.
* When booking in-app on a staff-scheduled room, the **staff field pre-fills with the member who would be auto-assigned** (marked "Automatic"), the dropdown flags who's booked, not working, or at their daily limit at that time, and saving **re-checks for conflicts** — double-booking now requires an explicit "Overbook" / "Assign Anyway" confirmation.
* The **staff schedule page** now shows how many appointments each shift member has that day, flags **unassigned appointments** (click to jump to that day), explains which rooms a shift keeps bookable online, and warns when deleting a shift would leave a room unbookable.
* The appointment calendar's **greyed-out hours are now computed on the server**, so day and week views accurately reflect schedules, staff rosters, and per-date overrides.
* **CloudBridal can now be installed as an app** on your iPad, phone, or computer (Share → Add to Home Screen on iPad; the Install icon in Chrome/Edge on desktop) — it opens full-screen with its own icon and stays signed in.
* The installed app can receive **device notifications even when CloudBridal is closed**: new and updated appointments, payments, signed documents, task activity, auto-charge results, and accepted quotes — following each staff member's existing notification preferences, with each notification opening the right page when tapped. Enable per device via the in-app prompt, the notification bell, or Profile → Device Notifications.
* The **sidebar** can now be pinned collapsed or expanded per device, with smoother pixel-stable animations and hover-to-expand on wide detail screens.
* **Inventory search now matches varieties/options and variant sizes and colors** — type an option name, size, or color into the inventory search or the order form's item picker to find every item that offers it (including out-of-stock ones).
* When creating a new order or quote, a **Preview Document** button shows the customer-facing document — watermarked, with terms and merge fields filled in — before you save.
* Customers can now **sign documents on your Stripe smart card reader** (BBPOS WisePOS E and Stripe Reader S700/S710). The in-store flow lets the customer review the full document, then sign on the screen or on the reader.
* Added **signature acknowledgments**: up to three "I agree" prompts per receipt template (e.g. "All sales are final") that customers must accept before signing — enforced on every signing channel and printed beside the signature.
* Receipt templates now support a printed **Document Title** (like "Sales Receipt" or "Rental Agreement"), a live **Preview** tab, and flexible **Document Header** settings. Position the logo, business information, and document/customer information independently on the left, center, or right; elements assigned to the same position stack automatically. A new **Additional Business Details** field provides a dedicated place for tax registration numbers and other short legal details. The refreshed print layout adapts more cleanly to wide logos and long addresses, while the document viewer adds an **Audit Trail** tab showing how and when each signature was captured.
* **STOP and START texts are now honored automatically**: texting STOP blocks all texts to that customer (staff can't override it), texting START restores them, and every message — automated or manual — passes a **consent check** with the reason shown when a send is blocked.
* Customer profiles now show **what each customer can receive** per channel (texts/emails, updates/marketing), and staff can record **marketing consent** directly on the profile.
* Email and SMS templates now carry a **purpose** (transactional vs. marketing) in your [template settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/emails); marketing templates only send to customers who opted in, and likely-marketing templates are flagged for your review.
* You can now **skip any upcoming automated message** for a customer from their message timeline (and restore it later), and **Send Early** is available on all upcoming messages.
* The online **booking form no longer requires consent checkboxes** to book — customers see a clear text-message disclosure plus an optional marketing opt-in, matching carrier (A2P/10DLC) registration requirements.
* The [inventory showcase](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/inventoryShowcase) now supports **curated collections** — saved filters with a title, tile image, pinned featured items, and optional per-collection pricing reveal. With at least one collection, the showcase opens on a **collection landing page** with live item counts and an "All Items" tile.
* Added an opt-in **showcase search box** (**Enable Search by Item Name** in showcase settings) so customers can search by item or designer name.
* The **Stock purchase order editor** now groups lines by item type, adds a **Variety** column (with one-click wholesale cost fill), and keeps each line linked to the right inventory item even if it's renamed before receiving.
* On the order form, sizes in a vendor's **size chart or size guide are now clickable** — click a size to fill it into the order item.

# June 2026

v26.6.1 - To view a more readable blog post about the June 2026 release, click [here](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-june-notes).

* Added **credit card surcharging** (requires the **Stripe integration** — applies only to Stripe-processed payments): pass card processing fees on to customers as a percentage you set in your [Stripe settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/stripe), available for stores in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In the **US and Canada** surcharges apply to **credit cards only** (debit and prepaid cards are exempt); in **Australia and New Zealand** they apply to **all card types**. Surcharges are itemized at checkout and on receipts, work for in-store card-reader payments, can be waived per payment, and come with a downloadable, pre-filled surcharge sign.
* You can now **refund to store credit** instead of the original payment method. When refunding a fully-paid order, choose to convert the refund into store credit the customer can apply to any future order.
* Refund dialogs now have a dedicated **tip field**, so you can return goods while letting your consultant keep the tip — or return the tip on its own.
* You can now **release order overpayments as store credit** instead of refunding to the original card.
* The **inventory showcase** now has customer-facing **product detail pages** — click any item for a full image gallery, vendor and style details, a rich description, and pricing when you choose to show it.
* You can now **customize your showcase** in [showcase settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/inventoryShowcase): set a custom **Showcase Name** (used across navigation, the portal, and page titles), rename the **Made to Order** and **In Stock** price labels, add a store-wide item disclaimer, and independently choose whether to show retail (made-to-order) prices, sale (in-stock) prices, or both.
* Each customer profile now shows an **Automated Message Timeline** — the emails and texts coming up next, grouped into upcoming, pending, already sent, and won't-send (with reasons). You can **send any upcoming message early** directly from the timeline.
* You can now **preview email and SMS templates** before sending from your [Emails & SMS settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/emails), and templates are now grouped by whether they send automatically or manually.
* Added new template merge fields for the assigned **sales associate's** and **seamstress's first name**, plus a direct link to the customer's saved **favorites**.
* Customers can now **remove themselves from a waitlist** from their request page, and each customer is limited to one active waitlist request to avoid accidental duplicates.
* The [**Cash Flow Summary** report](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports) has been redesigned as a clear waterfall (payments + tips + surcharges − refunds = net), with tips and surcharge refunds broken out.
* You can now **disable online card payments for specific item types**, so their balance is tracked but no payment is collected online — useful when payment is handled elsewhere.
* Inventory items now have a friendly **item number** shown on the item edit form.
* After a batch of scheduled payments is auto-charged, the store now receives an **auto-charge run summary email** recapping which payments succeeded and which failed.
* You can now **remove a staff member from the schedule for a single day** (a one-off shift) without changing their recurring schedule.

# May 2026

v26.5.1 - To view a more readable blog post about the May 2026 release, click [here](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-may-notes).

* **Customer-acceptable quotes (Ultimate):** the big new way to close sales remotely. Build a quote as a draft special order, then **share** it — CloudBridal generates a quote document from your existing template, optionally has a staff member **sign off** on it, then emails the customer a secure portal link. The customer **reviews, accepts, and pays the deposit** (with [Stripe](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/stripe-integration-payment-processing-1l4t4rx/) enabled) in one flow, and the draft becomes a confirmed order with the deposit recorded. You can share multiple quotes in one bundle, and pending quotes are surfaced as alerts on the dashboard and customer profile. Enable in [Client Portal Settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/clientPortal) under **Enable Quote Sharing**. A new **Quotes** tab on the [Orders](https://go.cloudbridal.com/orders) page splits quotes into **Drafts**, **Awaiting Customer**, and **Recently Accepted**. See the [Quotes](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/quotes-1qb11me/) guide for the full workflow.
* Added new **Sales Tax Collected** report on the [Reports](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports) page — a focused summary view with your choice of reporting basis (Order Date of Sale, Order Completed Date, or Payment / cash basis), Net Tax Collected, Tax Refunded, and a per-rate breakdown.
* The **client portal** now has a quiet security layer for return visits. The first time a customer clicks their invitation link they're recognized instantly — no extra steps. If they come back later in a different browser or on another device, CloudBridal sends a quick one-time code by email (or text, if a phone number is on file) to confirm it's really them. Customers never have to create or remember a password.
* Added **inventory transfers** between [linked stores](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/linking-multiple-stores-1mguj50/). Initiate transfers from either side, see cross-store stock while composing, review a receive preview before confirming, and view a full audit trail. Access from the **Transfers** tab on the [Inventory](https://go.cloudbridal.com/inventory) page. Requires the **Inventory Transfers** permission. See the [Inventory Transfers](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/inventory-transfers-lm7afk/) guide for the full workflow.
* **Polish across the app.** Several core surfaces received significant UX tweaks this release. The [Orders](https://go.cloudbridal.com/orders) fulfillment page moved to a grouped card layout with per-item purchase-order chips and inline payment summaries — cleaner, easier to scan, and friendlier on mobile. The [Customers](https://go.cloudbridal.com/customers) list got tighter status summary cells, a redesigned name cell, a sort selector, and a better small-screen layout. The customer profile picked up new alerts for pending quotes and signature requests alongside cleaner per-order cards. The [Purchase Orders](https://go.cloudbridal.com/purchaseorders) workflow was refined too. And the [Client Portal](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/clientPortal) saw a broad refresh — its home page, notifications area, and order/payment surfaces have all been smoothed out for a more consistent customer experience.
* New options on each **inventory item type** in [Inventory Item Settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/inventory):
* **Eligible for Purchase Orders** — turn off for item types you never order from a vendor (e.g., alterations, service fees) so they don't clutter PO candidate lists.
* **Default Vendor** — pre-fills the vendor when adding new items of this type. Especially useful for **services you provide yourself** (alterations, in-house customization) — set your own store as the default vendor and skip selecting one each time.
* **Don't Count Orders Toward Customer Conversion** — orders of this item type don't convert a prospect into a customer, and they're excluded from customer conversion metrics. Useful for incidental purchases like alterations or service fees, so a shopper who only buys an alteration stays classified as a prospect.
* **Add-ons can now be defined per inventory item** in addition to per vendor. On purchase orders, you explicitly check which add-ons are included per item, and inclusion drives the PO total and the printed PO.
* You can now **customize the email** sent when sharing a document for e-signature, including the subject and body.
* You can now **attach files to automated email templates** in [Settings > Email & SMS](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/emails). Attachments are sent along with the email each time the template fires.
* The [Subscription](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/subscription) settings page has been refreshed. Plan changes now show a **detailed preview** of exactly what will be charged today (including prorations and discounts), and reactivating a paid subscription no longer re-charges you for periods you've already paid for.

* Branding settings (colors, logo, email signature) are now **consolidated** into a single [Branding](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/branding) page with global defaults and optional per-area overrides. You can also now select a custom **Font Family** for all customer-facing pages.
* E-signed documents now show additional detail including **signing channel** (in-store, email, or direct link), view tracking, and a printable summary of document events.

* Appointments involving a payment or saved card now ask customers to **acknowledge your cancellation/no-show policy** before booking. A printable record is available via **View Policy Acknowledgment** in the appointment's actions menu.
* The public appointment scheduler now pre-loads **monthly availability** so customers can quickly see which dates have open slots. If you prefer not to show this, you can disable it with the **"Show date availability indicators on booking page"** toggle in [Appointment Settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments).
* The **staff schedule** now displays the number of appointments booked per day and shows a visual indicator when the store is closed.
* You can now include **discontinued items** with remaining inventory in the [Inventory Showcase](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/showcase).
* Upload **portrait photos** for staff members in [Staff Settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/staff) or your [Profile](https://go.cloudbridal.com/profile). Portraits appear in staff selection dropdowns, the appointment calendar, customer info panels, and the navigation bar.

* Appointment emails have a **refreshed design** with a prominent date/time/status section and cleaner layout.

# March 2026

v26.3.1 - To view a more readable blog post about the March 2026 release, click [here](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-march-notes).

* Redesigned the [Reports](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports) tool with the ability to save custom report configurations. You can now customize which columns are displayed, how data is sorted and grouped, set default filters and date presets, and save these configurations for quick access. Requires **Ultimate** plan.
* Added four new reports: **Cash Flow Summary**, **Task Completion Analytics**, **Sales Patterns**, and **Open Orders**. These can be accessed in the [reports tool](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports).
* The [Appointment Conversion Tracking](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports) report now supports drill-down into detailed appointment and order lists.
* When changing financial details on an order, CloudBridal now creates an **adjustment record** that preserves the original values alongside the changes. View the full adjustment and refund history in the new **Adjustments** section on any order. Adjustments are recorded with their own dates, keeping your financial period reports accurate.
* Task templates now support **automation settings** that automatically create tasks when customers, orders, appointments, or payments are created or updated. You can also schedule automations based on important dates (e.g., 30 days before a customer's wedding date). Configure automation rules and conditions in [Settings > Task Management](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/tasks). Requires **Ultimate** plan.
* Tasks can now be linked to **appointments** and **payments** in addition to customers and orders, providing more context for your team.
* The [Client Portal](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/clientPortal) has been refreshed with a cleaner layout and improved order views. Each order now displays add-on details, alteration information, additional work, additional fees, and customer-facing notes with explicit dollar amounts for what's been paid and remaining balance.
* Returning customers can now book appointment types through the [Client Portal](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/clientPortal) that were previously restricted to first-time customers only.
* You can now customize the email subject and body when sending generated documents (receipts, quotes) to customers. Configure this per-template in the **Email** tab of each document template in [Docs & Agreements settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/receipts).
* Added configurable starting points for auto-generated reference numbers (Customer #, Order #, Payment #, Purchase Order #) in [Settings > Configurations](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/configurations). Useful when migrating from another system.
* Streamlined the customer [pre-registration form](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/customerregistration) to avoid collecting duplicate information. Fields already known from the appointment booking are now pre-populated.
* Stores using the [QuickBooks integration](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/integrations) can now map CloudBridal tax rates to QuickBooks tax codes, ensuring accurate tax handling in synced invoices.
* Dashboard alerts now support direct order resolution — click an order-related alert to open the order directly and take action.

# January 2026

v26.1.1 - To view a more readable blog post about the January 2026 release, click [here](https://cloudbridal.com/articles/2026-january-notes).

* Refreshed CloudBridal interface & styling. In general, the positioning of elements and the functionality remains the same. However, you will notice differences with colors, icons, buttons, UI elements (date pickers, select fields, etc.). If you notice any major issues or functionality that no longer works as expected, please report to support@cloudbridal.com.
* Implemented card-on-file functionality when using the Stripe integration. This allows cards to be saved to a client's profile and used for future payments, including automated charging for scheduled payments.
* Added new report: [Order Margins Report](https://go.cloudbridal.com/reports), which allows you to analyze margins and profitability based on sales data.
* Added new **Postmark** integration in the [integration hub](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/integrations), which you can read more about at [this link](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/postmark-integration-transactional-email-jcq55x/). This allows you to send emails using your actual domain instead of being relayed through CloudBridal's domain. Doing this can improve (reduce) email spam rates and improve branding in outbound emails, so it's a good idea to use if you send a lot of emails through CloudBridal.
* You can now mark custom measurement fields as required for specific vendors in the [measurement settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/measurements). This is useful if a certain vendor may require specific measurements to determine a size so that you remember to take those measurements.
* When entering vendor size charts, you can now enter non-numeric data (e.g. bra cup size) into columns.
* Added new smart fields for appointments: Day of Week (e.g. Sunday, Monday), Appointment Type Name, and Appointment Link. These can be included in email and SMS templates related to appointments to further customize your messaging to clients.
* The "Email" field can be marked as required for appointments when booking as a staff member in the [appointment settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/appointments?tab=fields), which can help reduce mistakes.
* Added new data import tool to automatically import appointment data when migrating from a different appointment system to the CloudBridal appointment system. See [Initial Data Import](https://help.cloudbridal.com/en/article/initial-data-import-fb3bax/).
