# Refer a Shop

Refer another bridal shop to CloudBridal. The shop you refer gets a 60-day free trial instead of 30, and when it makes its first payment, you get a month of your plan free.

## How It Works

1. Open [Settings > Refer a shop](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/referrals)
2. Copy your **Code** or your **Share link** and send it to another shop, by text, email or in a group you're both part of
3. The shop signs up through your link, or types your code in the **Referral code** field when it signs up, and gets a 60-day free trial
4. When it makes its first payment, you get a credit worth one month of your plan

Codes aren't case sensitive, so `janesbridal` works as well as `JANESBRIDAL`.

## Your Credit

- **Worth**: one month of your plan at its regular price before any discounts, including tax. Add-ons aren't included
- **When**: added as soon as the shop you referred makes its first payment, and you get an email when it is
- **How it's used**: it comes off your next CloudBridal invoices automatically, and any unused credit carries over
- **Still in your own trial?** You can refer shops right away. Your credit is added after your own first payment

Your current credit shows as **Account credit** in [Settings > Subscription](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/subscription).

## Your Referrals

The list on the **Refer a shop** page shows each shop you've referred (the first letters of its name), when it signed up, and where it is:

- **Waiting for first payment**: the shop is in its trial or hasn't paid yet
- **Earned**: the shop has paid, and the list shows your credit and whether it's been added
- **Didn't join**: the shop left before paying, or the referral doesn't qualify

## Who Counts as a Referral

- A new shop that doesn't already use CloudBridal
- Your own stores don't count, including additional locations and stores linked to your account

## If You Were Referred

Your free trial is 60 days instead of the usual 30, and [Settings > Subscription](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/subscription) shows which shop referred you while it runs. A partner's code doesn't extend the trial.
