This streamlined checklist outlines the essential steps to set up CloudBridal for your bridal or formal wear business. Focus on these key configuration tasks to get your system up and running quickly.

Initial Setup

1. Set Up Your Business Profile

Navigate to General Settings
Enter your business name, address, and contact details
Upload your logo (used in receipts, client portal, and more)
If desired, set up an email signature. This is included automatically with all outgoing emails to your customers.

2. Key Configurations

These configurations feed into the overall system so it's important to do them first.

Set up your served customer types in Customer Settings in the Customer Types section. CloudBridal includes some default types, but you can deactivate them as needed.
Set up your sales taxes in the Tax Settings. You can apply these taxes to your item types in the next step.
Set up your inventory item types in Inventory Settings in the Inventory Item Types section. In CloudBridal, this can include both physical goods (e.g. Dress, Accessory) as well as categories like services, fees, etc. You don't need to worry about every single toggle in the form, just focus on getting the main categories defined.

CloudBridal is a complete business management system designed specifically for bridal shops and formal wear retailers. From appointment scheduling and inventory management to customer tracking, order processing, and reporting, CloudBridal offers all the tools you need to streamline your operations and enhance your customer experience.

Getting Started

Creating an Account

To use CloudBridal, you must register for an account.

Visit https://go.cloudbridal.com/signup.
Enter your email and password or click the Google button to register with your Google account.
After registering, you'll be prompted to enter additional details to set up your profile, such as your country and bridal shop name.
Once you've entered your details, you'll be taken to the Dashboard page, where you can start using CloudBridal. Your 30-day free trial will begin at this point, which you can manage in the [Subscription Settings](https://go.cloudbridal.com/settings/subsc

Added ability to print payment receipts with a thermal printer. See Printing Receipts With a Thermal Printer for more details.
Added new special order status: Draft. The new draft status is intended for detailed quotes or to build up a special order for the future. It functions just as a regular special order, except it doesn't count toward the customer's outstanding balance or appear in any financial reports. Draft orders can then be promoted to actual special orders.
You can now configure your document templates to be associated with specific order types (Special Order, From Inventory, Rental), order statuses, and inventory item types. This means you can create targeted document templates that are automatically selected based on the customer's order state. For example, you can create a "Pickup Template" which is pre-selected when the order type is "Special Order", and order status is "Completed". This can be configured in the Document & Agreements settings by editing a document template and updating the new When to Apply This Template section to create targeted templates.

Orders Setup

The Customer Order Settings section allows you to configure how orders work in CloudBridal. These settings control order statuses, default behaviors, display preferences, and automation rules to streamline your order management process.

General Settings

Default Order Dates to Today's Date: When enabled, status transition dates automatically set to the current date. For example, changing from "Ordered" to "Arrived" will set the Arrival Date to today.
Only Show Main Item in Orders List: When enabled, multi-item orders will only display their main item in the orders list, creating a more concise view.

Additional Order Statuses

CloudBridal has several optional order statuses that you can enable based on your business needs:

Scheduled: This sits between New and Ordered. E.g. If the item is ordered from the vendor, but not confirmed
In Storage: If you store items for your customers, you can use this status
Work in Progress: Useful for alterations when an item is being worked on
Work Finished: Useful for alterations when an item's work is finished

Client Portal

The CloudBridal Client Portal is your clients' self-service hub—a secure, branded space where they can view their information, view appointments and orders, make payments, and review documents. By giving clients easy access to everything they need, you'll reduce administrative work and deliver a modern, professional experience.

What is the Client Portal?

The client portal is a dedicated online area for each of your customers. Here, clients can:

View and manage upcoming and past appointments
View their order history
Access their order documents and agreements
Review their personal details
Browse your inventory showcase before their first appointment and favorite items
Access the pre-registration tool before their first appointment in case you want to capture any additional information
Review their in-store favorite items after their initial visit as a reminder of which items they liked

Everything is designed to be mobile-friendly and easy to use, so your clients can manage their bridal journey from any device. These modules can also be turned off on a per-module basis, so you can curate their experience based on your business needs.

System Requirements

CloudBridal is a web-based application that runs in your browser. You should ensure that your computer has a modern web browser installed, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

Browser: Up-to-date versions of Chrome or Edge are recommended. If using Safari, please make sure to keep your operating system up to date, as Safari receives updates with new versions of macOS.
Internet Connection: CloudBridal is a web-based application, so you will need a reliable internet connection to access the application. It does not support local offline operation.

Peripherals

Credit Card Processing

We partner with Stripe for integrated credit card processing. You are also welcome to use your existing credit card processing solution if you prefer, however that will require you to manually record payment amounts into CloudBridal to accurately track your orders and financials.
