Profile & Account Security

Keeping your CloudBridal account secure and personalized is important for both security and efficient daily use. The Profile page allows you to manage your account details and security settings.

Profile Details

In the Profile Details section, you can configure your personal information:

  • Name: Your full name, which appears in the system and on communications
  • Email Address: Your login email (shown as read-only since it's your primary identifier)
  • External Sign-In Options: If you registered using Google, you can toggle "Enforce Google Sign In" to require Google authentication for added security

Notification Preferences

CloudBridal includes an in-app notifications system. Staff members are automatically notified when a relevant event occurs, such as when a customer books an appointment. Staff members can also individually turn off notifications if they don't wish to receive them. At the moment, the following notifications are supported:

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an essential extra layer of security to your CloudBridal account. With 2FA enabled, you'll need both your password and a temporary code from your mobile device to sign in, protecting your account even if your password is compromised.

CloudBridal supports different 2FA options depending on your sign-in method:

For Google Accounts

If you sign in with Google:

  • 2FA is managed through your Google account settings
  • Visit Google's Security Page to enable or configure 2FA
  • Changes to your Google 2FA settings will automatically apply when signing into CloudBridal

For CloudBridal Accounts

If you have a standard CloudBridal account, you can set up 2FA directly:

  1. Enable 2FA: Click the "Enable Google Authenticator" button on your profile page
  2. Choose an Authentication App: Download one of these recommended apps:
  1. Scan the QR Code: Use your authentication app to scan the displayed QR code
  2. Save Your Secret Key: Copy and store the provided Secret Key in a secure location
  3. Verify Setup: Enter the 6-digit code from your authentication app and click "Verify"

Once verified, 2FA will be active for all future sign-ins to your account.

Managing 2FA

After setting up 2FA, you can:

  • Remove 2FA: Click "Remove Google Authenticator" and confirm with a current code (only do this if absolutely necessary)
  • Recover Access: If you lose your device, use your saved Secret Key to set up 2FA on a new device

Security Best Practices

To keep your CloudBridal account secure:

  1. Enable 2FA: This is strongly recommended for all users, especially those with administrative access
  2. Use Unique Passwords: Create a strong, unique password for CloudBridal. Consider using a password manager like 1Password.
  3. Secure Your Recovery Key: Store your Secret Key in a password manager or secure location
  4. Update Your Profile: Keep your contact information current
  5. Sign Out on Shared Devices: Always sign out when using CloudBridal on shared computers

Multi-Device Authentication

If you use multiple devices, we recommend using Authy instead of Google Authenticator, as Authy provides:

  • Multi-device synchronization
  • Cloud backup (with encryption)
  • Desktop applications
  • Account recovery options

This ensures you can access your 2FA codes even if your primary mobile device is unavailable.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with 2FA:

  • Time Sync Issues: Ensure your device's time is accurate, as authentication codes are time-based
  • Lost Device: Use your saved Secret Key to set up your authenticator on a new device
  • Access Problems: Contact your account administrator if you cannot access your account
