Hardware Requirements

This guide outlines the recommended hardware specifications and peripherals for running CloudBridal efficiently in your bridal shop. Having the right hardware setup ensures a smooth experience for both your staff and customers.

System Requirements

CloudBridal is a web-based application that runs in your browser. You should ensure that your computer has a modern web browser installed, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

  • Browser: Up-to-date versions of Chrome or Edge are recommended. If using Safari, please make sure to keep your operating system up to date, as Safari receives updates with new versions of macOS.
  • Internet Connection: CloudBridal is a web-based application, so you will need a reliable internet connection to access the application. It does not support local offline operation.

Peripherals

Credit Card Processing

We partner with Stripe for integrated credit card processing. You are also welcome to use your existing credit card processing solution if you prefer, however that will require you to manually record payment amounts into CloudBridal to accurately track your orders and financials.

CloudBridal supports two card readers. Order only after connecting your Stripe account to CloudBridal; the Card readers section of Settings › Payments compares them side by side after you log in.

  • Stripe Reader S710 (recommended for most shops): takes card payments with on-screen tipping, and customers can sign documents on its screen (Ultimate plan). It has no receipt printer, so pair it with a thermal receipt printer if you want printed receipts. Order it from the Stripe Dashboard.
  • Verifone V660p: takes card payments with on-screen tipping and has a built-in receipt printer, which CloudBridal can print to from any device, including an iPad. Customers can't sign documents on it; they sign on your device or by email instead. It's in preview in the US, Canada and some other countries, and you order it by contacting Stripe.
  • Already have a BBPOS WisePOS E or Stripe Reader S700? Both keep working, including on-screen signing.

See Stripe Integration for setup details.

Label Printing

For inventory management and garment tagging:

Barcode Scanning

Inventory labels can be generated with scannable QR codes, which allows you to scan a label and pull up the inventory item details for the scanned item.

  • Requires any 2D barcode scanner. We recommend getting a Bluetooth-compatible scanner for best overall experience, as that can easily be paired with any device that supports a bluetooth connection. While any such scanner should work, our testing and validation was done with the Eyoyo 2D Bluetooth Barcode Scanner.

Receipt Printing

For printing receipts and sales agreements, CloudBridal offers multiple options:

Standard Printers

CloudBridal supports digital documents, but if you would like to print physical copies, you will need a standard printer.

Thermal Receipt Printers

For faster checkout and professional receipt printing:

  • Compatibility: Tested on Epson TM-T20III, but any ESC/POS compatible thermal receipt printer (80mm paper) should work.
  • Browser Requirements: Chrome or Edge only
  • See the Printing Receipts With a Thermal Printer documentation for complete setup instructions.
  • Using a Verifone V660p card reader? It has a built-in receipt printer, and CloudBridal can print payment receipts on it from any browser, so you don't need a separate printer.
