Custom Fields

Custom fields allow you to track data specific to your business workflow that isn't supported by CloudBridal's standard fields.


Available Custom Field Entities


CloudBridal supports custom fields for the following entities:



Creating Custom Fields


  1. Navigate to the Settings page for the entity type (e.g., Customer Settings, Order Settings)
  2. Enable the "Use Custom Fields" checkbox if not already enabled
  3. Click the green Add Custom Field button


Field Configuration Options


Basic Settings


  • Field Label: The label displayed for the field
  • Field Type: Each of these types renders a different input type, so be sure to select something appropriate based on the type of data you want to collect
    • Checkbox: a checkbox that can be toggled on or off
    • Currency: a number currency value
    • Date: a date selection picker
    • File Upload: allows you to upload a single file
    • Multi-Line Text: a text field that can span multiple lines, for longer answers
    • Number: a number value
    • Phone Number: a phone number value
    • Rich Text: a text field that supports formatting like bold, italic, alignment, etc.
    • Single-Line Text: a text field that spans a single line, for shorter text answers
  • Display Mode:
    • Default - Allows free-form text entry
    • Dropdown - Provides a list of predefined values
  • Field Width: Controls how much space the field takes in its row within the form


Advanced Options


  • Required: Makes the field mandatory for form submission
  • Hidden: Keeps the field in the database but hides it from UI (preserves historical data)
  • Show in Related Reports: Includes the field in relevant reports
  • Show When Printing: Displays the field when printing documents like order documents
  • Default to Today's Date: (Date fields only) Automatically uses the current date


Dropdown Custom Fields


When you select "Dropdown" as the display mode, you'll see additional options to manage predefined values:


  1. Click "Add Value" to create a new dropdown option
  2. Enter the text that should display in the dropdown
  3. Use the drag handles to reorder values
  4. Use the trash icon to remove values
