Vonage Integration (SMS)

The Vonage Integration allows you to integrate with Vonage to send and receive SMS messages directly in CloudBridal. This has many advantages over our built-in messaging including removing the 150-character limit on SMS messages and allowing you to use automated SMS messaging functionality like appointment reminders and automated rules-based messaging.

The Vonage integration is offered as an alternative to Twilio for users based in the UK. When possible, we recommend using Twilio instead as it has improved support for features like MMS.

Requirements

  • You must be on the Core or Ultimate plan in order to enable SMS messaging.
  • Register for a Vonage account (formerly Nexmo).
  • Add a payment method to your Vonage account, as Vonage charges for SMS messages sent and received. See regional pricing here.

Configuring Vonage

  1. Register for a Vonage account (formerly Nexmo).
  2. Go into the API Settings page and copy your API Key and API Secret. You will need these later.

The Vonage API Key and Secret

  1. Navigate to the Buy Numbers page and purchase a number. You may first need to fund your account before they will allow you to purchase a number.
